Painted Garden uses a simple contemporary shape with flowers taken from the book, The Painted Garden: A year in words and watercolours, an illustrated journal and sketch book by Mary Woodin. A keen gardener and gifted watercolorist who trained as a textile designer and later as a ceramic designer at the Royal College of Art, Mary relished the commission from her publishers to record a full year in her own Blackheath garden. Her delight in the project spills over into the beautiful botanical illustrations which are the glory of this earthenware range.
